This Christmas my Wii is getting some love

The Biggest & Best Games arrive at MyGames!

I'll admit it - I haven't always given my Wii the attention it deserves. When there are so many great titles being released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 it has often gone neglected. However with a multitude of great games coming through the MyGames doors lately I've found myself making a few purchases to boost up my collection. and I've fallen in love with the magical experience of a good Wii game all over again.

The catalyst for my Wii obsession was struck up by The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, a game that critics are calling the best Zelda game of all time. As some of you know, I'm an editor at MMGN.COM so I had the chance to play through the game for our review. I was blown away by how well the motion controls work - using Nintendo's MotionPlus the game actually gives you 1:1 motion control of your sword. This was the first time that motion controls weren't just a tacked on gimmick for me, it made the game far more enjoyable. It's so easy that a child, or even someone who had never played video-games before could easily pick it up and swing away. If you own a Wii then you simply must add this to your collection, and that's why we're selling it for the low price of $65!

After my review was done of Skyward Sword I decided to go back and play through Super Mario Galaxy 2, the first of two games to score a perfect 10 at MMGN.COM. Once again critics heralded Nintendo's ability to make an accessible adventure that offered enough challenge for even hardcore fans of the series. If you want to see what the Wii is capable of in terms of graphics, control and an overall experience, then Super Mario Galaxy 2 is where it's at!

Mario Kart has developed a long standing rivalry between my father and I stemming from the SNES days. Now, over a decade later every family shindig, or even every time my parents visit as few rounds of Mario Kart are duked out. Mario Kart Wii features a number of tracks from that very first SNES game, which brings back the nostalgia factor as my dad and I battle it out for ultimate bragging rights, time and time again. For only $65 you can pick up this ultimate family racer with a Wii Wheel accessory from us.

What's next on my agenda before Christmas arrives? I've always wanted to check out Kirby's Epic Yarn, a platformer that is more about the art style than the gameplay. The reviews have been fairly glowing, and the trailers make me fall in love with the look and feel of the game. I wasn't willing to gamble $100 on it at launch, but for $65 I'm willing to take a chance.
